BAE Systems is looking for aCircuit Card Assembly Value Stream and New Product Introduction Leader for their Austin, Texas facility.This role is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, leading, and managing activities within a team-based manufacturing environment. Major areas of responsibility include overseeing and managing new product introductionsand serving as a liaison between project management, planning, project teams, technical operations, and value stream leadership. A successful candidate will provide motivation, coaching, and leadership to Value Stream Leaders to insure the accomplishment of business objectives including meeting safety, quality, delivery, cost and company objectives. Maintain an effective and efficient organization while effectively communicating responsibilities and objectives to employees. Select, train, and assignpersonnel to fulfill position requirements. Prepare project execution plans, review status of projects and budgets, prepare status reports, assessrisks and opportunitiesand develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customergoals and objectives. Work effectively with customers and suppliers as well as supporting functions for work critical to the business. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience utilizing Lean Enterprise concepts to meet or exceed business and customer requirements. The ability to work flexible hours and days to meet objectives is highly desirable. Adhere to the highest standards of legal, ethical, and business conduct in relationships with fellow employees, the Company, suppliers, customers, and the public.

Minimum Education And Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills And Education

  • Detailed understanding and experience inCircuit Cardmanufacturing processes, equipment, and process control methodologies with consistent pattern of delivering superior performance

  • Leading new product introduction activities as a primary interface between engineering, program management, operations engineering, manufacturing, and the customer

  • Leadinga zero defect culture (root cause corrective action, corrective action review board, and kaizen events)

  • Developing and managingbudgets and direct/indirect labor staffing plans

  • Implementing lean methodologies for factory footprint/layout optimization and efficiencies

  • Developing manufacturing strategies and processes from customer requirements to assure efficient product realization, with an emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and cost

-Achieving performance results working in a fast paced manufacturing environment coordinating production execution while simultaneously assuring results on special projects

  • Developing schedules, manpower requirements, and business metrics packages to senior leadership

  • Preparing product/programcost estimates (both recurring and non-recurring) for internal and external customers

  • Hiring, developing, coaching, and leading high-performing teams

  • Motivating and managing direct labor workforce

  • Communicating effectively both orally and in writing

  • Interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers

  • Training individuals and teams

  • Establishing and Monitoring performance to targets

  • Managing multiple tasks and priorities
