Job Summary

The Process Technologies Office of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, talented Instrumentation and Controls Engineer for immediate employment in the Austin office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects including flue gas desulfurization and associated power plant retrofits and upgrades.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Instrumentation and control system engineering and design to industry, company and client codes and standards.

  • P&ID development support

  • Instrumentation index development

  • Instrument data sheet development

  • Sizing control valves, flow elements, and pressure relief valves

  • Development of DCS and PLC systems

  • Preparation and development of technical specifications for electrical equipment and electrical construction

  • Evaluation of bids for equipment and construction

  • Provide engineering support for the preparation of design drawings and visual aids

  • Provide on-site construction, commissioning and startup support

  • Travel approximately 10%-20%

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

  • 0-2 years of full-time work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification

  • Internship and/or work experience in electrical/controls engineering related fields
