The Sr. Advisor is a key enabler in Dell’s CPU Procurement team leading strategic supplier analysis in support of commodity pricing, rebate requirements, and funding programs. The role plays a critical position in the organization, ensuring funding requirements are met, analyzing pricing or performance against expectations, while ensuring critical financial and accounting practices are adhered to. The role will require extensive data analytics, use of spreadsheets and databases to track and drive cost opportunities. Selected hire will have a great opportunity to learn the mechanics of Dell’s supply chain and product development process, as well as be a key participant in strategic negotiations with Dell’s largest suppliers. Strong analytic skills, comfort and desire to get into detailed data analysis, project management, and effective communication are critical to success in this role.
Responsibilities -Provide overall management and support for strategic suppliers pricing and rebates across all commodities and lines of business -Participate in negotiations with strategic suppliers necessary to gain funding for development programs -Work with CPU GCMs, Finance, Accounting, IT and Cost planning to calculate and deploy correct commodity pricing on all Dell platforms -Provide required analysis and reports for strategic suppliers -Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to identify opportunities to reduce cost and increase funding from strategic suppliers on projects that align with strategic priorities -Perform and coordinate executive presentations -Perform analysis and identify areas for performance improvement
Requirements -Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities, analytical, interpretation and evaluation of financial data -Demonstrated advanced Excel performance -Demonstrated cross-functional engagement and influence across a diverse set of experiences -Ability to work effectively with peers, management and internal and external partners -Demonstrated superior performance at understanding Dell business priorities, customer and stakeholder requirements, and knowledge of competitor practices in order to develop comprehensive strategies, operational plans, and governance systems to meet and exceed goals -Proven ability to effectively manage schedules, resources, financial plans and risk -Proven leadership skills
Preferences -Undergraduate degree and 6 years relevant experience involving operational, program, and implementation experiences ie developing risk mitigation and preventative measures
