WSP is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person interested in furthering their career in the Transportation field for our Austin, Texas office. The Senior Transportation Manager has opportunities to work on exciting projects nationwide, with a focus on the overall Texas market with an emphasis on the Austin/San Antonio Region. The successful candidate will work to deliver projects and develop business in the highway or related core market areas of WSP from small to large scale projects.

The successful candidate may:

  • Develop and/or maintain positive client relationships

  • Mentor staff in establishing similar positive relationships

  • Manage all aspects of transportation design projects from conceptual and preliminary engineering to final design

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of project tasks, manage project staff, schedule and budgetary oversight

  • Develop and/or coordinate responses to RFQs and RFPs

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program

  • Texas Professional Engineering License

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of twenty (20) years’ of directly applicable experience

  • Highway/roadway design projects for Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT), local governments, Regional Mobility Authorities and/or developers

  • Experience successfully managing roadway projects

  • This person must be capable of demonstrating creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment, and successfully managing multiple task assignments

  • Experience in marketing, proposal preparation, and client relations

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment

  • Highway/roadway design experience
