General Description

Responsible, under direct supervision, for ensuring that SEA's products and business conduct operate to top quality standards. This role will monitor production quality as well as SEA communication activities across multiple divisions to ensure customer satisfaction. This role will be responsible for reporting SEA customer quality metrics and identifying areas for continuous improvement. Delegates tasks to team, as well as works independently, and is considered an intermediate professional with adequate understanding of own job area.

Additionally, is responsible to order materials, select products to audit and coordinator work. Participates as a member of the inspection team recording data, identifying failure rates, training inspectors.

Coordinates and conducts daily activities of product sampling to verify performance through established procedures via inspection and testing. Interacts with all levels within the organization and within the customer organization to identify and track product issues. Takes ownership for sustaining quality of post launch products through driving resources toward effective resolution of product failures or issues. Tracks performance of products by utilizing project management tools, methods, and scheduling. Coordinates processes and procedures to ensure and expedite resolution of product issues. Assists in the preparation of creating standard reports, compiling data, and providing information for the effective communication of test results, laboratory and production/test team performance. Gather and analyze weekly/monthly data from each carrier for quality concerns.

The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with peers and leadership within the department. Ability to work cooperatively and to occasionally interface with senior management for technical information exchange. The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple assignments and projects. The ability to read, write and follow detailed technical instructions and interpret engineering specifications, materials or related documents. The ability to work independently and lead a team of employees to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames. Minor exposure to confidential data where disclosure is detrimental to the Company’s interests. Ability to solve problems of differing situations requiring creativity to search for solutions among previous experiences. Position is guided by general guidelines where some analysis and judgment is required to determine appropriate courses of action.

Necessary Skills / Attributes

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 2-5 years of directly related experience or Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 year of experience is required.

  • Prior experience in quality measurement, product management and/or customer service preferred.

  • Prior experience in the telecommunications industry preferred.

  • Ability to research and resolve customer technical complaints required.

  • Proficiency in MS Office products including Word, PowerPoint Excel.

  • Experience in SAP a plus

  • Must have strong attention to detail and be task focused

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
