This is a nationally-based position. Qualified candidates must live near a major airport.
The Technical Application Manager –SYVA will be responsible for the management and development of approximately 10 Technical Applications Specialists.
Primary responsibilities will be to drive assay utilization, coordinate instrument implementations, drive customer satisfaction, and work together with Salesto achieve area goals. Other responsibilities include: Manage TAS activity to insure growth of assay base business, streamline the instrument implementation process, and maximize customer loyalty. The incumbent will manage TAS resources in accordance with the sales goals for assay additions and reagent growth. In addition, the incumbent will identify and monitor TAS skill set training needs to include TAS training programs and development that maximize product knowledge and performance.
Travel is 80%.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
The incumbent must have strength in general management, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact in a multi-disciplined environment both internally and externally. They must be proficient with software programs such as, Excel, Word, and Power Point. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills. In addition, they must have strong time management and negotiation skills. They must be able to
motivate team members and drive goal performance. The incumbent must have strong teamwork skills to be able to work with cross-functional team members. Also, the incumbent must be able to take calculated risks and
embrace empowerment and change. Must have a clean driving record over the last three years.
