Department overview

Markit WSO is the industry leader in leveraged loan and high-yield solutions and provides comprehensive products and services for portfolio management, servicing, reporting, and analysis. Our portfolio management solution gives immediate access to real-time reference and transactional loan data. Its functionality is tailored to handle the unique behaviour of bank loans and compliance reporting required for complex structures.

The WSO Quality Assurance team is comprised of 29 Testing professionals in Dallas and Noida India.

Position summary

This position promises a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast growing and entrepreneurial, global company. The applicant will have the opportunity to build a career in the Quality Assurance phase of the Software Development Life Cycle and learn the Markit WSO product suite.

Duties & accountabilities

  • Analyzing requirements and writing test cases

  • Creating data sets for testing

  • Analyzing and validating results

  • Creating defect and feature work items

  • Setup/restore environments

  • Manage and manipulate data using core applications and/or SQL

Business competencies

Education and experience

Ideal candidates would bring financial industry knowledge or experience.

Minimum of BA or BS degree (prefer a Management Information Systems Computer Science / Accounting / Finance concentration)

PC Skills: MS Office Suite, Microsoft SQL, MS VSTS, HP ALM

Desire to learn SQL, algorithms, relational data structures, financial calculation modelling, and build a career in Quality Assurance

Appreciation of the SDLC and various development methodologies

Commercial awareness

Someone with an interest in the financial world and technology associated with it and how to test and apply Quality Assurance to a software product

Management requirements
