How You'd Kick Ass:
Innovative Firmware Design. You will tackle the challenges associated with building things that have never been done before in relation to the connected car, connected home, IoT, wearables, etc. You will write well designed, testable, efficient code to design and develop rapid prototypes and high-volume, low-latency applications, delivering high-availability and performance.
Cross-Functional and Able to Tackle Any Environment. You are an expert when it comes to embedded firmware design, development standardization, and componentization/modularization. You are able to jump into other software roles where needed. You don't fit a cookie-cutter, job description – your diverse background and deep understanding of engineering fundamentals & best practices allow you to contribute to the team by any means necessary.
Passion for IoT & Utilizing Cutting-Edge Technology. You’re a champion for innovative agile development practices and are inspired by exploring technology, experimenting with the latest innovations, and tinkering with the latest trends to create amazing new solutions.
5+ years of experience in firmware design and development using C/C++
Strong understanding of microcontroller architecture and peripherals
Ability to write firmware for bare-metal, RTOS, and full-OS applications.
Ability to read and understand schematics, data sheets, and protocol specifications.
Experience with code version control systems and refactoring.
Experience with wireless communication protocols such as Wi-FI, Bluetooth/BLE, and ZigBee.
Experience with interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, JTAG, SPI, I2C, I2S, CAN, OBD2, CAN, and NFC/RFID.
Understand how to use an oscilloscope, multimeter, and logic analyzer.
Familiarity with various MCUs such as Cypress PSoC, TI, and other ARM series.
Experience with M2M, automotive telematics, and/or home automation systems is a big plus.
Cross-platform experience with web back-end, iOS, and/or Android experience is a big plus.
Embedded Linux experience is a plus.
Experience with signal processing and machine learning is a plus.
