  • Review test data from the field and from our manufacturing centers for potential product issues, and in turn provide feedback back to the test engineering team to close the feedback loop

  • Identify bugs by participating in the DISH beta program and through routine testing when new software is released and/or features launched

  • Accomplish tasks using various databases throughout the company, and writing custom SQL Server scripts to identify software issues and create needed reports. Working to turn these ad-hoc investigations into recurring and ongoing processes

  • Utilize MS Excel, Tableau, and other modeling tools to generate reports and trend analyses

  • Develop and archive documentation referencing software release notes, projects, and Product Stability processes

  • Coordinate with various departments such as product marketing, technical support, and programming to plan for business changes that may impact the overall stability of the set top box

  • Understand the business data/ reporting requirements and work on building reports for various business teams and leadership

  • Understand the insights provided by the data and summarize the results for executives

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, performance scorecards and platform KPIs

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university with an engineering or some other technical degree with at least two years related experience and/or training


  • Excellent MS Excel, SQL skills, working knowledge of BI tools; Tableau, Python, R skills desirable

  • Experience with relational databases and the ability to work with big data sets

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, as well as knowledge of database basics (e.g. SQL, MS Access, Hadoop)

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical abilities, with proficiency in mathematical concepts (fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, statistics, probabilities, algebraic expressions, etc.) and ability to define problems, seek and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • Well-developed oral and written presentation skills, with the ability to summarize complex concepts into understandable and easy-to-follow presentation materials

  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
