WilliamsRDM is looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee the activities of the Accounting Department to include payroll processing, cost analysis, accounts receivable, accounts payable, product costing, inventory valuation, tax reporting, financial reporting (internal/external), audit responses, and financial statement and annual budget preparations. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure the accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close. Oversees and ensures the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, employee expense reports, cash control, payroll processing and payroll tax compliance. Work with outside CPA to ensure accurate and timely completion of all tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes. Provide analysis of projects, opportunities, product costs, etc. by working with Engineering and Production management to develop business plans based on sound financial input. Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports. Cost accounting Accounting Manager or staff should support actual and estimated product costing, overhead allocations, and inventory valuation. Develop and maintain policies and procedures to safeguard assets and support financial performance. Provide analysis of projects, opportunities, product costs, etc. Partner with Management to drive continuous improvement of financial and process performance to define company strategy and meet objectives. Information Systems - Understand in detail, use and help define/improve how we use ERP and other related systems. Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. Direct preparation of budgets and planning. Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies; support external audits. Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions. Provide direction, coaching, and support to develop high performing Accounting team. Education & Training: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA certification a plus 5 years of hands-on accounting experience with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment 1-2 years experience supervising an accounting staff Direct experience with government contracts and audits Skills & Experience: Familiar with the operations of a privately held organization Strong working knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax, banking, government contracts, manufacturing processes, and ERP systems. Working knowledge of and experience with GAAP required Computer proficient including advanced Excel and ERP skills. Strong managerial abilities to be utilized with accounting staff, cross functional process teams, management, and outside business partners.
