Job Description

Instrumentation Technicians do various types of work under minimal supervision including troubleshooting and maintaining electrical control systems, process control systems, instrumentation, and operator interface terminals for manufacturing.

*The starting pay rate for this role is *$37.69 per hour **

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB FUNCTIONS may include but not limited to

  • Working safely and complying with all Company, OSHA and other governmental standards

  • Perform all functions relative to repairs and improvements in the areas of electrical and instrumentation installation, troubleshooting, cleaning, inspection, calibration, and maintenance throughout the facility safely and professionally. This includes but is not limited to all electrical, instrumentation, and distributive control equipment, blending control systems, control valves, variable speed drive equipment, meters, production lines, and mix systems.

  • Communicate with equipment vendors and part suppliers to troubleshoot, order, and improve on equipment and machine design to deliver enhanced equipment performance

  • Schedule, order parts, and perform machine rebuilds and installations for site equipment

  • Actively participate in the design and documentation of improvements for line changeovers, operations and maintenance

  • Coordinate maintenance activities with other members of the leadership team and customers.

  • Must be capable of troubleshooting/repairing high voltage circuits (up to 480v)

  • Perform complex electrical functions including: electrical and controls troubleshooting and PLC programming

  • Responsible to work closely with equipment vendors to ensure a smooth transition of new equipment and equipment upgrades to the site, including training of line operators if necessary, and also ensure all aspects of compliance are being met in the areas of safety, quality, GMP's and FDA compliance on site equipmentMust be capable of interpreting JIC & DIN electrical schematics, ANSI electronic schematics, P&ID's, loop diagrams, electrical “single lines”, and logic documentation

  • Document problems and solutions, and recording all activities and communications.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to knowledge sharing and learning culture within the team.

  • Analytical ability to find solutions to difficult technical problems.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work visa

  • Willing to work a rotating shift work schedule

  • Willing to work overtime, holidays, nights, and weekends

  • Willing to be on call and meet call-out standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergencies

  • Possess a current, valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States

  • Must currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card. Note, information regarding TWIC qualification standards may be found at www.tsa.gov/whatwedo/layers/twic/index.shtm

  • Possess or are you able to obtain Hazardous Materials certification
