Job Description:

Position Overview

Siemens Energy Management, Low Voltage and Products Business Unit, is looking for a Materials Manager/Supervisor in our Grand Prairie, TX manufacturing and assembly plant. This person will own the inventory accuracy for the fabrication and assembly areas and lead the material handlers on the plant floor. This person will also work closely with the Focus Factory Buyer/Planners to develop material strategies and work closely with the Warehouse and Logistics Managers to support Customer needs and material flow. This role will have 10 direct hourly reports and will report to the Materials Manager.

Responsibilities

Basic responsibilities include:

  • COGI Resolution and Management

  • Inventory Accuracy: Audits, Root Cause, Corrections

  • Leading and Supervising a Team of 10 Hourly EE's

  • Key Annual Physical Inventory Contributions

  • Inventory Replenishment Model Identification and Implementation

  • Support for Shipping, Warehousing, Purchasing, Planning

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience:

  • Strong SAP Knowledge

  • Root Cause Analysis

  • Inventory Management, Materials or Manufacturing Background

  • Proven Leadership

  • Proven Teamwork

  • Experience in a Manufacturing/Assembly Environment

  • Strong communication Skills

  • Ability to work Horizontally and Vertically in the Organization

  • Drive to be Successful and make Significant Contributions

  • Strong Data Collection and Presentation Skills

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Project Management or Team Leadership

  • Experience with Multiple Replenishment Processes (MTS, MTO, KB, VMI, etc)

  • Lean and Continuous Improvement Skills
