TIC – The Industrial Company is seeking Tool Person.
This is an entry level position for Materials Management Career Track.
Work within Guidelines of onsite Tool room functions.
Perform onsite Material; Care Custody and control functions in support of TIC field activities.
Perform daily operation functions, as directed.
Function in support toll to learn and understand any and all facets of project Tool room operations including; inventory control, checkout brass system (as utilized), tool safety and repairs, consumables distribution and support of QA/QC welding materials distribution and documentation.
Education, Experience or Formal Training:
High school curriculum plus 1 month experience in Industrial Construction, Tool room Operations, or equivalent combinations of training and experience.
Working knowledge of project material operations and functions required.
Must be proficient in documentation; able to follow established policies and procedures.
Experience in material handling beneficial.
Construction or industrial craft and any supervisory experience helpful.
Working Environment & Physical Demands:
Ability to work in conditions common to a construction site including but not limited to rain, sleet, snow, dust, mud, heat, sun, cold, noise.
Ability to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift.
Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
Climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Possess full range of motion and flexibility.
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
