We are currently seeking aBusiness Development Director for Engineering & Construction Facilities and Services.The Business Development Director will be responsible for developing business opportunities and building a new growth mindset across the Engineering and Construction/ Oil & Gas target market. This position will be located in Houston, Tx with regional travels.
Building a solid and renewed market analysisfor Engineering & Construction business in the US, through opportunities sourcing, trends definition, and deciphering of stakeholders names and importance for each targeted projects.
Establishing a strong and durable networkin the US market with all targeted global and local stakeholders of future projects.
Building intimacy and creating partnershipswith targeted clients, partners and providers.
Leading Business Development Projectsby ensuring that the targeted opportunities are won and that yearly sales objectives are achieved.
Leading the Bid process at every stage, by ensuring that US Bid teams deliver on-time, tailored proposals at best price, meeting client expectations and internal Contract Design rules
Liaising with Marketing teams, Global development teams, and Regional developmentand operations teams, to ensure consistency of the offer and development
Preparing personalized client presentations in relationship with project stakeholders and marketing team.
Supporting the VP of Business Development in building strategic plans for Key Accounts.
Supporting the Operations and Development teams and/or VP Business Development in specificprojects forgrowth
Based in Houston.
10 + Years’ selling Construction & Engineering or Oil and Gas
Engineering Degree or Degree in Construction a plus but not required
Intimate with Facilities management services and/or Construction & Engineering related services and/or Oil & Gas services market.
Has already built a network in the domain.
Project management capability.
Bid management capability.
Ability to understand the specific client needs and marketing deliverables.
Obtains leads, develops prospect lists and identifies potential clients. Maintains current and accurate databases related to sales/marketing. Develops and presents sales presentations, proposals or other sales documents based on data that determines client challenges, needs, business issues and Sodexo solutions. Closes sales. Coordinates, produces and executes contract documents and develops alternate contract models to better meet client needs and business objectives. Identifies, qualifies, and develops horizontal sales opportunities. Develops and implements strategies that result in the achievement of sales, market share, account retention, or market growth targets.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree
Basic Management Experience – 5 years
Basic Functional Experience - At least 5 years sales or industry-related work experience
