This is a 90% - 100% traveling position for a Revenue Integrity Subject Matter Expert.

The Revenue Integrity Consultant will possess strong professional experience in the area of the Revenue Cycle: Revenue Integrity . This position will be responsible for hands-on assessing, planning implementing and directing the transformation of key revenue cycle business processes. In addition to strong Patient Access skills, the Consultant should possess strong expertise in Revenue Integrity and ability to travel full time.

Duties and Responsibilities

Client Service/ Business Development:

  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of Revenue Cycle service offerings as well as Navigant Cymetrix service offerings.

  • Perceived by the client as a lead person for one or more of the project teams.

  • Develops a network of personal and business contacts.

  • Routinely identifies add-on opportunities on current projects.

  • Assists with the development of proposals.

  • Actively participates in the recruiting process.

Communication:

  • Provides regular project status updates to the project director and the project team.

  • Demonstrates solid facilitation skills.

  • Demonstrates the ability to determine the most appropriate format and scope for client deliverables including the ability to create deliverables suitable for senior-level client audiences.

  • Demonstrates effective listening skills.

  • Ability to identify and articulate project obstacles/ issues and determine potential solutions.

  • Expresses self in a confident manner in individual and group settings.

General/Professional:

  • Actively participates in healthcare educational opportunities, such as HFMA audio-visual presentations, on-line research, accessing periodicals, PD initiatives and internal NCLC.

  • Benchmarking methodologies (internal and external) for related revenue cycle functions

  • Determines what data to gather and quantity of data required, based on work plan and issue analysis

  • Generates options and creates means for gathering data which is not easily available

  • Validates recommended approach for data collection methods and ensures reliability and relevance of data collected

  • Analyzes data based on reasonable assumptions, factual information, and vision

  • Demonstrates the ability to assess analytical results, determine root cause issues, and propose solutions.

  • Developing SME capabilities with a focus on at least one functional area.

  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of applicable experience in healthcare Revenue Integrity (at least 3 years in a hospital setting).

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in finance or accounting preferred.

  • Will consider a combination of relevant education and additional experience.

  • Must possess in depth experience in Revenue Integrity

  • Must have a solid understanding of Healthcare Revenue Cycle .

  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must have knowledge of healthcare applications and systems.

  • Must demonstrate competency in working in teams and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels.

  • Must demonstrate leadership in creating and implementing new processes.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to successfully manage client relationships.
