Position Description

  • Public Relations – develop strategies, fact sheets and backgrounders to communicate the company's story and its position on key issues and positively promote its reputation

  • Employee Communications – research, write stories and take photos/shoot video for the company's electronic newsletter and its web site

  • Media Relations - write news releases and media statements, coordinate interviews with and provide counsel to business unit management, pitch and place stories with trade and other media, serve as spokesperson

  • Web Site and Intranet – assist in developing and updating content and look

  • Social Media – maintain and monitor corporate Facebook page, Twitter account and Linked-In account

  • Crisis Communications – Serve as a member of the emergency response team, available 24-7

Position Requirements

Seeking an energetic strategist with excellent writing skills. Media relations experience is strongly desired. Spokesperson and crisis communications experience in the energy industry are a plus. Must be detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects concurrently, producing accurate/quality work in a time-sensitive environment. Self-starter, resourceful, team player who accepts the responsibility of being on call 24-7. Candidate must have 1-3 years of Public Relations experience. Job level commensurate with experience and skill set.
