Job Description

Reports to: Engineering Manager Position Summary: Fully proficient at providing engineering of production and gas treating equipment design during all phases of equipment fabrication from proposal to operation of the equipment. Central responsibility is review and control of process P&ID’s, equipment functionality and application to provide a cost effective design for manufacturing that meets the customer's requirements. These designs include natural gas and liquids production equipment and related equipment and facilities. This person must have experience related to production equipment design, selection of equipment, operations and construction of this type of equipment or facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Performs research and analyses of data such as application engineering proposal, design specifications, drawings, industry codes and equipment manuals to determine feasibility of design or application of equipment.

  2. Performs engineering calculations to size vessels, piping, valves and auxiliary systems to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.

  3. Development of bills of material and shop notes meeting the customer's requirements and the specific requirements of the order in compliance with accepted practices and applicable industry codes.

  4. Coordinates with designers to develop general arrangement and assembly drawings for other departments and the customer.

  5. Works with the shop to meet their assembly and shipping requirements for each unit.

  6. 4-10 years experience in skid mounted engine driven reciprocating gas compressors is preferred.

Required Skills or Tools:

Should have academic background of courses and experience such as financial and cost accounting, statistical analysis, and inventory control systems. These disciplines are directly related to bill of material construction, vendor bid analysis and contract administration duties. Preferred Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.

4-10 years experience in skid mounted engine driven reciprocating gas compressors is preferred.

• Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department the essential functions of the job..
