NRG Park is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement. We are a one of a kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park. NRG Center (one million+ sq. ft. Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome ( The Astrodome), and NRG Arena. This position is under direct supervision of the Parking Coordinator, Parking Manager and the Director of Operations and is responsible for daily cleaning of all outdoor areas. Acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients requirements are met and facility rules and policies are adhered to. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following: Assists in daily cleaning of all outdoor areas including parking lots, landscaping, fence lines, drains, parking offices, equipment, etc. Operate power tools and other equipment, such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, access lifts, sweeper trucks, or other light power driven equipment. Interpret, explain and apply building codes, rules and regulations involved in assigned maintenance activities. Assists in basic outdoor set-up and maintenance requirements when needed. Follow the preventive maintenance program, energy management program and standard operating procedures for all machinery and equipment. Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies. Perform repairs and maintenance to existing structures including but not limited to parking signs, podiums, crates and storage containers. Requisitions tools, equipment and supplies to the Parking Supervisor. Ability to follow and draw plans for items. Manage and maintain all working areas adhering to all safety regulations. May perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Not Applicable. Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form. Perform manual labor for extended periods, often under unfavorable weather conditions. Ensuring and following safety measures and regulations for forklift operation. Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends and holidays. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED and related experience and/or training a plus. Experience in CAD ability preferred.
