NAES Corporation Plant Administrator - Friendswood in Houston, Texas
NAES Corporation has an immediate opening for a Plant Administrator for the initial staffing of the Friendswood Energy Center currently under construction in Houston, TX.
Friendswood is a 121 MW simple-cycle gas-fired electric generating facility under construction in Houston, TX on an existing power plant site. The facility will consist of a Siemens 501 D5 gas turbine with AGC, evaporate cooling, dry low NOx burners and a selective catalytic reduction unit. Upon completion, this facility will support peak energy demands in the Houston Zone of ERCOT.

The Plant Administrator is responsible for plant communications (incoming/outgoing), plant site personnel administrative support, accounting and business functions.
Assists in the development, monitoring and reporting of plant O&M; and capital budgets.
Assists in the development and implementation of cost and commitment tracking tools.
Administers accounts payable functions to include verification of items purchased and invoicing records in coordination with the Purchasing Assistant, vendors, and project supervisors.
Administers plant payroll to include assembling and reviewing time cards, inputting data to the plant payroll system, printing and distributing paychecks, and generating payroll reports.
Greet visitors and direct to appropriate person. Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate person.
Maintains all plant business files and supports document control process. Initiates routine correspondence and performs word processing, with the exception of confidential information.
Assist with hiring process of plant site personnel.
Administers the Fitness for Duty policy in accordance with policy.
Supports benefits administration of plant site personnel in accordance with Corporate Human Resources.
Completes other tasks as requested by the Plant Manager.
The Plant Administrator has the possibility of working weekends and holidays, as required by workload.
All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes pre/post employment physical examinations and drug screening.
Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment.
Two years general office experience and one year accounts payable experience is required. General accounting experience is highly desirable.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office software is required.
Ability to take on added responsibilities, manage/prioritize multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
