WSP USA is looking to hire a Project Contract Administrator to work out of either our Houston or Dallas, TX office. The selected candidate will perform the following duties:

  • Coordinate with subconsultants on prequalification process to ensure compliance with corporate requirements

  • Prepare and provide support in the preparation of subconsultant agreements using approved corporate templates

  • Assist in coordination of prime agreement legal reviews

  • Assist in drafting subcontract amendments, task orders, inter-company agreement’s and other related subcontract documents

  • Work directly with project manager and project accountant to obtain subconsultant scope of work and other data needed to complete subconsultant agreements

  • Communicate with corporate legal and project accountants during the subconsultant review and execution process

  • Coordinate identified legal risks with project manager and project accountant through resolution

  • Maintain and post subconsultant requests and updates in ProjectSolve

  • Maintain organized filing system on-line, including ability to track all contract requests

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience in related field

  • A minimum of 4 years directly related experience involving the review, preparation and the administering of private, state and Federal contracts

  • Experience interpreting construction, engineering (such as roadway, structural, geotechnical), planning, water and environmental contract requirements including project scopes, cost estimates and schedules

  • Ability to communicate (phone, e-mail, in person) in a professional, clear, calm and concise manner

  • Ability to work independently and able to prioritize assignments as needed

  • Experience working with lawyers in the preparation and review of project related contract documents

  • Ability to work with different Project Team members (project managers, project accountants, etc) in different states and cultures

  • Willing to ask questions, search for answers, and troubleshoot problems

  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat

  • Travel to offices within the Texas/Mountain Region may be required

The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately. Local candidates preferred.
