The primary purpose of the Research Assistant II (RAII) position is to conduct clinical research projects in the field of energy balance, cancer prevention, and cardiology. Core values critical to the RAII position include teamwork, reliability, responsiveness, and effective communication.
Ideal candidates will have experience in recruiting for clinical research studies involving human subjects.
Responsible for approaching, recruiting, and consenting patients for PI research studies. Communicate health information to research participants. Enter and analyze research database information maintained by the PI.
Record Keeping, Data Collection and Communication
Maintains accurate, detailed records and protocols. Assist Research Coordinator communicate and submit documentation to the IRB. Communicate results to and understand instructions from the principal investigator (PI) and other colleagues in the department. Adhere to maximal ethical standards in data collection, data recording and elaboration in publications and presentations.
Other duties asassigned
Bachelor's degree with major course works in one of the basic sciences.
Masters degree with major course works in one of the basic sciences.
Two years experience in scientific or experimental research work. No experience required with preferred degree.
Experience in recruiting for clinical research studies involving human subjects.
