The Senior SCADA Specialist provides critical SCADA System programming and support duties for the EPCO SCADA department.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for maintaining existing code and developing new software for various systems within the SCADA department including systems that remotely interface with pipeline monitoring and measurement equipment.

  • Extensive programming skills in Microsoft .NET, C#, Windows Forms (Winforms) and Windows Services are required.

  • SQL Server experience and knowledge of relational database concepts is required.

  • Support of the system and routine maintenance and monitoring are also required.

  • Requires participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or at least 3-or more years of programming experience is preferred.

  • 3 years of programming experience with .Net and C# required.

  • 3 years programming in one or more of the following is preferred: Windows Forms (Winforms); Windows Services; Microsoft SQL Server; Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF/XAML); Windows Communications Foundation (WCF) as well as experience with Microsoft SQL Server database design

  • 1-3 years of experience in a SCADA environment is preferred, especially experience withSchneider Electric OASyS DNA.

  • Ability to work in a small team environment, sometimes under stress.

  • Ability to communicate well and quickly trouble-shoot problems.

  • Knowledge of fundamentals of networking is desired.

  • Experience in administration and working with Windows-based PCs and servers is also desirable.

  • Must be able and willing to follow the lead of supervisory personnel and have a pleasant personality to work with customers.

  • While at times training will be provided, candidates must be willing to spend time learning new things and keeping their skills up to date.

  • Thorough understanding of Threading, .Net framework, application performance an Microsoft SQL Server is strongly desired.
