Summary

The Sr Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the standards of Sysco’s end user device environment including, but not limited to, desktop and laptop computers, tablets, thin clients, printers, scanners, and associated accessories. Included in this role will be the responsibility for translating business requirements for end user devices and software into approved configurations, evaluating vendor solutions, and defining enterprise standards for existing and new technologies as well as defining implementation guidelines and management processes for these standards. They will participate end user technology pilots, assist with purchasing decisions consistent with the needs of the enterprise, and drive solutions to completion. This is an ideal opportunity for a passionate and technically savvy individual looking to expand from technology support into an advisory/solutions role.

This position is hands on with a combination of pre and post technology implementation responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of end user devices and software. The role will be responsible for evaluating and implementing emerging end user technologies such as role and persona based standards. This person will work alongside a team of technical subject matter experts (SMEs), providing input and know-how on both enterprise and team transformation programs/projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with internal BT support teams and business liaisons to provide technical and functional expertise.

  • Develop and maintain a definitive device standards list by persona and maintain an end user device lifecycle.

  • Assist with maintaining a definitive software standards list, requirements and pre requisites and maintain a software lifecycle.

  • Perform research, analysis, and formulate recommendations regarding end user technologies to fulfill requirements within the enterprise.

  • Analyze and estimate feasibility, costs, time, and work effort needed to design and implement end user technology.

  • Ability to understand SaaS & PaaS technologies, integration technologies, cloud technologies and other end user computing related tools as it relates to end user devices.

  • Collaborate with BT and business to define functional and technical requirements and translate them into functional designs to increase the satisfaction of the end user experience.

  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with IT and business leaders to ensure all activities are closely aligned with the business strategy.

  • Contribute to organizational process improvement, including processes related to developing use cases, knowledge management.

  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and new technologies for potential application within the enterprise.

  • Experience leading projects and driving change across the enterprise

Educational requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in technology-related field preferred.

  • Technical certifications related to end user computing.

  • 7+ years of experience implementing end user computing platforms

  • 5+ years of experience with application virtualization, SaaS, and PaaS experience

Skills and Experience

  • Experience demonstrating strong communications, listening, presentation, reporting, and business skills.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, and a consultative orientation are musts

  • Ability to differentiate end user technologies for different personas and tasks.

  • Prior experience in driving and leading enterprise technology and cultural transformation programs with purpose and energy to promote unified approach.

  • Initiative to learn new technologies and resolve issues across the organization and with partners and vendors.

  • Strong ability in presenting technical information to executives.

  • Experience supporting/training remote/field teams.

  • Ability to clearly articulate new technology benefits to all levels in the organization including senior level executives.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent presentation skills
