SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:
This role is responsible for assisting in development of and leading of projects focused on implementation of supply chain initiatives designed to improve the entire supply chain. The major objectives include logistics capabilities, process improvement, operational efficiencies, network optimization and inventory management. This role will be responsible for the development of project cross functional coordination of all activities related to improved efficiencies, reduced costs and improved customer service. This could involve a wide variety of responsibilities ranging from project management in a pure sense to creating communications collateral to problem solving critical project issues/risks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy & Leadership
Lead cross-functional teams handling the project management of several major supply chain intiatives
Assist the Program Director in development of the short and long term supply chain strategies for the company with an emphasis on efficiency, cost saving and customer service.
Maintain the policies and structure necessary to ensure optimum supply chain for achieving company goals and objectives.
Support the development of analytical tools and reports to effectively manage supply chain performance KPI’s across the company.
Assists in reporting of supply chain annual goals/targets and insures alignment with overall company goals and objectives.
Fosters high performance culture, focused on engagement, accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement with a customer focus.
Lead all aspects of projects in order to deliver approved business functionality to Sysco
Define project scope, approach, assumptions, dependencies, risk, and budget
Coordinate with all stakeholders and dependent projects to develop detailed project schedules
Manage approved projects through the lifecycle, including change requests, issues management, risk management, and status reporting
Collect appropriate information and draft project status report for review and finalization by the Sr. Director of Category Management Execution
Facilitate project meetings to resolve risks, issues, or requests for scope change
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required in general management or supply chain.
7+ years of relevant experience; typical candidate will have experience in management consulting, general management, project management and/or as a business analyst
Strong operational/distribution focus, with exposure to multiple business/functions and excellent business partnering skills
Strong project leadership skills with the ability to affect change in an organization in a constructive manner.
