Responsible for the management of all business development initiatives, accounting and recruitment, particularly the sourcing and placement of highly specialized technical consultants to support the company's major capital oil and gas projects in the excess of $1 billion USD, and ultimately its profitable growth in the America region. Direct financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency. Direct and coordinate activities concerned with the pricing, technical sales, or distribution of resources. Oversee staff work schedules and assign specific duties. Review financials documents, sales or activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement. Direct the activities of 10 or more team members tasked with the sales and marketing, recruitment, and operational support, by identifying, hiring and training highly qualified individuals as well as promoting effective internal/external communication and cooperation, and provide solutions to working problems and facilitating conflict resolution. Responsible for developing marketing strategies for the distribution of high-end technical consultancy solutions to the energy sector including consultancy for Operations Management (planning to execution), Well Design, Onsite Well Supervision, Deepwater Requirements, Preventative Well Control, Completion Design and Execution, Gas Liquefaction (LNG), Subsea and Floating Production. Develop marketing strategies, including advertising campaigns or sales promotions. Recommend locations for new facilities or oversee the remodeling or renovating of current facilities. Actively engage in leveraging existing global customer relations by meeting with clients to gain an understanding of their Technical, Project Management / Engineering requirements, and subsequently match their needs with Competentia's Project Management, Engineering and Supervisory resources including its specialized consultancy and recruitment services. Will identify and secure new prospects, define and manage annual operating budgets, identify expansion locations and possible merger & acquisition opportunities, and provide investment and marketing strategy recommendations to the Management Board. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Fifteen (15) years of experience with Project Management for oil & gas technical recruitment sector, including a minimum of at least ten (10)years business development experience, and (5) years' of engineering and/or construction project experience, e.g. oil & gas, civil, marine, etc. with proven experience defining, establishing and managing new business operations from scratch - preferably in a new country of operation and/or new business line sector, with proven forecasting and P&L management responsibility for businesses generating annual sales revenues >$20M / annual operating costs >$1M. Must have commercial tendering experience and a proven successful track history in securing RFI's/RFP's and experience in hiring and managing teams of at least (5) FTE's. TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 25% international and domestic travel is required. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Must have secured/supported at least three (3) major capital development projects (project value >$1Bn) with major owner/operator oil & gas companies.
