This position reports to the Vice President of Brand Rx and will be responsible for evaluating and managing new business opportunities in the Vaccine division of US Pharma. In this role the VP will oversee market analysis, strategy and plan for the Vaccine division. The incumbent will drive the development of new business through marketing strategy, marketing plan, and marketing execution activities including but not limited to sales enablement, campaign and program development, sales training, partnership development, thought leadership, and overall marketing efforts within the business. This position will lead 4-6 direct/indirect reports.
Identifying, evaluating, and managing new business opportunities :Leads the development of the vaccine marketing strategy including: assessing the market landscape, identifying unmet market needs, developing new solutions and strategies to address customer needs, and creating competitive strategies. Provide leadership, management through influence, and in person interactions with sales teams and customers to drive adoption of vaccine programs that improve customers’ productivity and expandingoverall sales of vaccines at McKesson.
Develop and delivery competitive solutions for all customer segments: Leads the development of value proposition, customer segments, messaging, and creation of sales tools and sales training/support.In this position the incumbent would be responsible for maintaining communication with key customers by developing close business relationships to monitor market conditions while remaining alert to new business opportunities and to ensure on-going account servicing in a manner that maximizes customer satisfaction while positioning McKesson Brand Rx Vaccines favorably as the market leader.
Oversee vaccine team that creates, drives, and executes compelling product strategy and solutions . Foster strong leadership competency and work to improve bench strength within the vaccines division.Establish development plans and mentor individuals on the team to maximize their growth and potential. Build a pipeline of talent by developing individuals across the team.
Contract Negotiations with key vaccine manufacturers .Coordinate the process of negotiation and documentation of vaccine manufacturers.Increase profits through well-planned and executed collaborative negotiations
8 years of product management experience including 5 years managerial experience
7-10 years hand on product experience
May have a variety of backgrounds, such as finance, product, programs, where they were measured by top line growth and financial results.
Demonstrated leadership and the ability to take initiative.Someone who takes risk to implement new ideas and creates a culture of collaboration and teamwork that fosters open communication and organizational flexibility.
