Exide Technologies Service Supervisor - Motive Power in Irving, Texas
Directs all branch personnel. Responsible for all service operations within assigned branch, and maintaining all branch quality to corporate standards. Works within established policies, procedures, practices, and regulations.

Manage the branch’s performance including customer satisfaction, profitability, safety, good housekeeping, and environmental, state and federal compliance.
Manage all branch personnel including employee performance, development and training.
Provide technical support to all branches and agents to foster increased sales.
Serve as backup to Service Technicians to perform Battery and Charger service calls.
Drive service leads to generate new accounts.
Maintain good working relationships with lift truck dealers.
Achieve service targets as assigned.
Responsible for implementation of inventory controls and adhering to policies and procedures.
Prepare annual budget for the service department and review monthly reports.
Monitor expense items to ensure minimal expenditure.
Ensure all hazardous materials are handled, transported, stored, and disposed of per DOT and EPA regulations
Responsible for ensuring vehicles, including commercial, are operating within all federal, state, local and, corporate guidelines.
Maintain warehouse to the company’s health, safety and SOP standards.

Education, Experience, Certifications :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
A minimum of three years related experience and/or training particularly in a management capacity including budgeting and cost containment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Battery Service Industry experience a plus.
Managing multiple facility locations a plus.
CDL with Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain.
Outstanding track record of leading others, influencing decision and making a positive impact
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge :
Critical thinking and good troubleshooting technique.
Knowledge of Industrial Batteries and Chargers and/or Material Handling market a plus.
Good organization/administrative and time management skills.
Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
High energy, self motivated, ability to be successful without direct supervision.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate with multiple levels of customer/dealers/management on business related issues.
Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Education, Experience, Certifications :
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Two year technical degree or equivalent combination of work experience and education preferred
One to three years of battery industry or related experience and preferably in a field service environment.
Possess Commercial Drivers License with hazardous material endorsements, or ability to obtain
Forklift Training Certification a plus

Individual is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to regularly lift a minimum 50lbs on a daily basis and 51 to 150lbs with assistance of equipment on a daily to weekly basis
Regular use of safety glasses. Vision requirements: close vision.
