DNV GL Subcontractor - Stroke Technical Advisor in Katy, Texas

The specialty stroke program is expanding exponentially, and we are looking for a Stroke Technical Advisor to support the growth of this program.

Tasks May Include

  • Conduct stroke CSC surveys against stroke program requirements in client hospitals, working with clinical surveyors providing stroke-related guidance

  • Once qualified, perform technical reviews of the stroke program

  • Once trained and qualified, perform clinical surveys against ISO 9001, NIAHO quality standards, ASR, PSC and CSC programs

  • Ensure that survey work is performed in accordance with the quality requirements of the activity, and the procedures governing the activity

  • Plan and execute surveys, report the results of surveys and follow-up, as required, within agreed timescales and economic budgets

  • Where applicable, supervise the work and provide guidance and/or training to other survey team members

  • Ensure that the independent nature of the survey is not compromised at any time

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management

Position Qualifications

  • Subcontractors with DNV GL must have, or be willing to obtain, an EIN

  • Licensed as an RN, MD, DO, or PA required

  • At least 4 years' experience in the healthcare industry required

  • At least 1 year as a Stroke Coordinator required

  • Willingness and ability to conduct one (1) two-day survey per month required

  • Willingness and ability to travel anywhere in the world to conduct these surveys

  • Valid driver's license and ability to rent and drive a car required

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk and stand for up to 4 hours at a time and maneuver throughout all areas of a hospital from floor to floor, either by stairs or elevator

  • Able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds in addition to transporting one’s own luggage for multiple-day travel and push, pull reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel with that which is lifted, carried, or transported
