Role Summary:

In this role, Surface Treatment Processor (Wed-Sun 3rd Shift Clean & Strip) under general supervision, performs chemical and grit cleaning on jet engine components. Performs chemical cleaning and grit blast cleaning on blades, vanes, and other jet engine parts. Reads process instructions to determine procedures to be used and standards to be met.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition you will :

  • Work from recognized process methods, strict adherence to process instructions, specifications and simple formulas to perform chemical cleaning, stripping, etch, rinsing, and degreasing operations

  • Perform related jobs, such as identifying the solutions, pH testing, assists in the removal of spent solutions, operating automated grit blast machine, degreaser and wax masking

  • Responsible for equipment maintenance, machine cleaning, chemical disposal, or similar functions as assigned

  • Must adhere to and follow all safety procedures, i.e., lock-out / tag-out

  • Report safety concerns, use appropriate PPE as required, and follow similar safety practices

  • Responsible for meeting all quality assurance standards of the product

  • Performs other job duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • 1 to 2 years of job related experience and / or training in a related production environment

  • Ability to read, intrepret and follow written procedures {i.e., AWI (Aviation Work Instructions), process sheets, etc.} ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :
