Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for a North America Logistics Specialist in Midland, TX.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes sales exception forecasts, determines shortages, reviews and notifies department staff and sales department of results.

  • Assists other departments in acquiring inventory to fill shortages and daily orders from other locations.

  • Forecasts standard inventory usage and routinely orders appropriate quantities.

  • Facilitates usage of slow moving and obsolete inventory.

  • Handles special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to multi-task, work in a team environment and work under a deadline

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SAP (preferred SAP experience in Inventory Management)

  • Intermediate Excel knowledge (Ability to navigate in Excel, will not be creating spreadsheets but will be updating information in Excel and Data Entry)

  • 2+ years of experience in either Transportation Management, Supply Chain or Purchasing required

  • 3+ years’ experience in transportation management, customer service or production control.

Desired Characteristics:

  • General knowledge of product line(s) of responsibility.

  • Basic knowledge of all other product lines.

  • SAP experience in Inventory Management is preferred

  • Prior experience working with Logistics KPIs is preferred.

  • Order Management experience a plus.
