BASIC FUNCTION The Project Manager, Fluid Services performs tasks associated with the Operations Support of C&J Energy fleet of mobile oil field trucks, trailers, salt water disposal sites and support equipment. Tasks include, but are not limited to, initiatives to improve efficiency within the fluid services operation, writing specifications for new equipment purchases, defining and writing inspection and repair procedures for maintaining existing equipment, analyzing and recommending corrections for field operating problems. REQUIREMENTS Pass the company's drug screen. Motor vehicle record qualifies individual to be an approved company driver. Acceptable criminal history. Must be able to be able to communicate business strategies and processes in fluent English verbally and in writing. Basic knowledge of technical specifications, techniques and practices. Basic knowledge of general industrial practices and procedures. Structural design experiences a plus. Must have extensive PC computer experience with the Microsoft Office suite of software; AutoCAD (latest version), have knowledge of computer network systems and email systems; must be proficient with the use of such systems and equipment from remote sites while traveling. 5 to 10 year's oilfield or mobile equipment design experience preferred. Good verbal and written communications skills. Ability to work with all levels of office and field employees. Ability to manage and execute assigned tasks. Experience and Educational Requirements: A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering. Ability and willingness to obtain a Professional Engineer license in Texas. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ability to travel 40%. The position is responsible for coordinating and executing all activities related to his/her particular tasks as assigned. Identify and implement technologies that can lead to the reduction in consumption or hydrocarbons and their emissions. Develop and determine methods to optimize maintenance activities while minimizing cost for repair and maintenance activities. Determine methods to optimize yard maintenance methodologies. Investigate to developing the facility as a central truck and trailer repair, maintenance and parts inventory facility. Develop and implement cost tracking strategies for parts, maintenance, fuel, and repair costs. Develop inventory database consisting of the most commonly used, most expensive spare parts. Responsible for assisting in the development and updating of equipment specifications. Develops and maintains a close relationship with vendors and suppliers of services for his/her particular tasks. Responsible for gathering data and pertinent information and relaying same to C & J Energy management. Assists with developing additional and/or alternate sources of supply for material, secures sources of supply for new or improved materials and/or equipment while maintaining a list of acceptable vendors. Works closely with C & J Energy Services to develop and negotiate specifications and contracts with suppliers for the particular tasks he/she is assigned. Travels to field offices and works closely with office management and staff. Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by his/her immediate supervisor.
