TIC – The Industrial Company is seeking Operator Craftsman.
Candidates must be able to operate one or several types of power construction equipment (i.e. forklift, bobcat, compressor, riding-compactor, vehicle for running errands, small water truck, small dump truck and utility truck) to excavate, move and/or grade material. In general, light equipment has a G.V.W. less than 26,000 pounds. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision.
Operate gasoline, diesel, pneumatic or electric powered equipment to move objects or material according to project specifications.
Assemble and operate compressors and pumps; operate levers and pedals on assigned equipment to lower bucket or scoop up material and to lift, swing, or dump material; adjust hand wheels and depress foot pedals to drive machines and control attachments, such as blades, buckets, scrapers and swing booms.
Perform light maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines.
Document maintenance in logs on assigned equipment.
Education, Experience or Formal Training:
Must have working knowledge of the operating limitations and safe work practices associated with the equipment being operated.
Must have in his/her possession a TIC Equipment qualification card endorsing unit being operated.
Must have a valid driver's license when equipment being operated travels on any public roads.
Working Environment & Physical Demands:
Ability to work in conditions common to a construction site including but not limited to rain, sleet, snow, dust, mud, heat, sun, cold, noise.
Ability to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift.
Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
Climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Possess full range of motion and flexibility.
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
