Headquartered in the heart of downtown Chicago, Invenergy has developed utility-scale projects totaling more than 13,000 megawatts and currently operates over 50 wind, solar, natural gas, and energy storage projects internationally. Internship Overview: Invenergy Operations and Maintenance (O&M) interns will work out of a designated office within the West Texas region and will observe work of Invenergy technicians and learn how to perform basic turbine operation and maintenance tasks. As an intern, you will help to ensure the safe, compliant, and profitable operations of existing Invenergy wind fleets.

Candidates must be available to work full-time at one of the following sites:

  • McAdoo Energy Center – McAdoo, TX

  • Wake Energy Center – Crosbyton, TX

  • Turkey Track Energy Center – Blackwell, TX

  • Goldthwaite Energy Center – Goldthwaite, TX

  • Miami Energy Center – Miami, TX

  • Rattlesnake Energy Center – Garden City, TX

  • Gunsight Energy Center – Big Spring, TX

Required Experience:

Requirements:

  • Targeted completion of a Certification Program or Associate’s degree between April 2017 and January 2018

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

  • Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet).

  • Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).

  • Weight must not exceed 124 kg (275 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks.

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

  • Interns will need to supply their own safety-toed shoes

  • Relocation expenses and/or housing allowance will not be provided
