ebay is looking for a highly talented and self-motivated individual to join Risk Management Policy team. The successful candidate will be a part of the ebay Risk Management team located in San Jose. The reporting line will be up through the Head of Global Risk Policy Management. The principal responsibility of this role is to develop new policies for the risk business inline with the business plan, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged effectively through the process, and helping to optimize strategies for the global markets, . This role is opened Risk Policy Results oriented, including the capacity to connect decisions to broader risk strategy and execute tactically, embodying a blend of management, entrepreneurial, technical, creative, business, and marketing skills. Other key constituents of this role are managing the relationship between the local/Global teams and maintaining effective communication skills.

  • Candidate must be customer focused - consider the customer on every experience/policy developed and focus energy and effort to build and solve for the customer

  • Must have deep knowledge of analytic tools always use data to validate strategy or hypotheses. Understand processes, and methodologies, solutions to drive technological advancement in the area of responsibility.

-Can develop an excellent understanding of financial outcomes, initiatives, strategies, and future directions, as well as organization structures to be able to proactively adjust action plans and work prioritizations to meet current and future business needs and navigate organizational complexity easily to achieve technology and business goals.

-Has a good understanding of business and finance in the context of the Marketplaces business and uses it to facilitate prioritization of work.

-Proactively identifies, investigates, and resolves most issues and problems that may impact all components of work.

-Exercises independent judgment to overcome obstacles and issues.

-Seeks to identify root causes and recommends solutions to avoid repeat of problems.

-Shows a high level of skills in breaking down problems into their essential elements, carrying out a diagnosis and developing a solution.

-Uses a wide range of previous experience, internal and external technologies, and advanced concepts to solve complex technical challenges in creative and effective ways.

-Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with senior leaders of the organization.

MS/MBA/MA degree or equivalent

A minimum of 3+ years of quantitative financial services experience with a BS/BA degree
