Job Summary We are currently looking for an experienced, motivated, and creative individual to fill the role of Land Specialist - Division Orders. This position will be responsible for assisting the Landman - Division Orders with the maintenance and set up of company and outside operated division orders in our Land Administration Group based in Houston. Responsibilities Include • Update divisions of interest based on title opinions and other title documents as well as understanding of lease provisions applicable to the distribution division of interest. • Assist in new division orders and obtain execution of the division orders. • Review, process and route outside operated division orders including clearing title defects. • Review and interpret legal documents in order to maintain ownership changes. • Obtain new owner numbers when necessary. • Maintain and update divisions of interest including but not limited to joint interest billing decks on operated properties. • Research and resolve revenue discrepancies. • Work on special projects as needed including assisting with divestitures and acquisitions. • Communicate and coordinate with the Landman - Division Orders who will be working closely with Operations about new well set ups. • Communicate information about divisions of interest to Accounting while meeting its deadlines for timely payments to owners. • Communicate with interest owners by providing them division orders, answering their questions and processing their changes within audit guidelines. • Share knowledge through mentoring and training of staff. • Experience with review of title requirements and determining appropriate curative needed, collaborating with all Land personnel as necessary. Qualifications College degree preferred, but not required Minimum of 3-5 years proven complex title analysis Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail Proficiency in Excel and Word SAP/PRA and Enterprise Upstream (formerly Oracle Energy) software experience a plus.
