Role Summary:

The Master Scheduler role responsible for performing capacity planning and organizing the shop floor manufacturing schedule by analyzing multiple customer requirements and implementing production schedules to support delivery dates, meet customer requirements and maintain appropriate inventory levels.

Essential Responsibilities:

Schedule and coordinate the flow of materials (from suppliers and within departments) per production schedules and committed to keeping the system updated and working with others to ensure all the updates which can affect the schedule are present so any potential issues can be avoided whenever possible. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Position requires understanding of concepts, methods and procedures of the various manufacturing environments: ETO, CTO, MTO, MTS, and Buy items. Manage and identify when and how to outsource subassemblies are required and schedule OSP activities as well.

In the role of Master Scheduler, you will:

  • Analyze customer requirements to determine the sequence in which to execute each project to maximize our capacity and resources

  • Establish a Master Schedule and Slot Plan to meet customer requirements without exceeding current capacity levels

  • The Master Scheduler will work cross functionally to determine the critical path for projects to effectively execute the project requirements

  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems updates, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs.

  • Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs through Oracle Scheduling

  • Optimize inventory and process improvements by making decision to release, confirm, cancel, or defer work based upon current inventory demand, capacity and material availability to reduce excess inventory and increase inventory turns

  • Executes routine analyses using vested methods and technologies and/or contributes to ERP process developments to streamline system usage in teams under supervision

  • Effectively works cross functionally with Project Management, Engineering, Sourcing, and Operations to align all operational requirements to develop a robust schedule

  • Develop and maintain scorecards to accurately measure KPI’s and identify risks and opportunities throughout the shop floor

  • Monitors sales forecast to provide direction to the Supply Chain and Operation managers regarding capacity and resource planning

  • Drives and owns weekly Demand Planning sessions for cross-functional teams to provide accurate visibility of project progress and completion dates Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Scheduling, Planning, or Manufacturing Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong knowledge in Master Scheduling, MRP, Constraint Based Scheduling, Lean Manufacturing, and Capacity Planning.

  • Strong working knowledge in Oracle R12, Oracle ASCP for scheduling and materials planning

  • Primavera skills for scheduling of engineering and project management activities

  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem solving skills

  • Knowledge in Lean Six Sigma principles

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, team building and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
