Summary:Green Mountain Energy (GME) markets and sells renewable electricity in the competitive Texas retail electricity markets. To support and drive financial and operational performance of GME s Texas residential business, candidate will perform a diverse range of assignments, projects and activities related to financial planning, supply management and portfolio optimization. Additionally, the incumbent will be expected to challenge existing business practices, propose workable solutions and drive initiatives to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, support and maintain a robust suite of financial forecasting models

  • Provide management with accurate and timely financial and operational reports that will support business decisions

  • Propose strategic recommendations that will enhance business value and drive performance improvement related to financial and operational metrics customer count, acquisition, retention, and EBITDA

  • Monitor, analyze and report key performance metrics

  • Lead special projects to address pressing business needs

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and engage in cross-functional initiatives to drive process improvement

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university required

  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance or Engineering preferred

Experience:

  • 3 years work experience required, preferably in one of the following areas: Financial Forecasting, Market Analytics, Supply Management or Risk Management

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong computer and analytical skills including proficiency in MS Excel, SAS (or equivalent) and/or SQL

  • Revenue forecasting, gross margin analysis or P&L reporting experience preferred

  • Deregulated retail and wholesale electricity markets experience required

  • Robust analytical, mathematical and statistical skills

  • Ability to understand, manage and compile large data sets

  • Detail oriented and highly organized

  • High integrity, energy, enthusiasm and tenacity

  • Proven experience delivering projects on-time

  • Able to effectively communicate to a wide range of audiences in both written and oral form

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily an office environment

  • Some overtime required as special projects arise
