Job ID #: 1249 Location: Houston, TX Functional Area: Project Development Department: Development- Eastern Position Type: Full-Time Regular Education Required: Bachelor's Degree Experience Required: 0-2 years Relocation Provided: Position Description The Project Development Analyst will provide information, documentation, and overall support to Project Managers and other Development staff to assist with the development and construction of wind and solar plants for an assigned US region. Main accountabilities: Develop and maintain project budget and cash flow forecasting models for projects Facilitate the creation of capex estimates for new projects by coordinating with internal stakeholders Create and/or manage internal tools for tracking efforts to develop/construct projects and for coordinating internal resources and priorities Assist energy sales team to structure power purchase agreement offers to counter-parties for new growth projects Perform underwriting of project contracts, permits, and agreements by reviewing key commercial terms to ensure proper valuation of and forecasting of cash flows Coordinate and assemble project proposals to landowners and utilities Support internal reporting and project tracking efforts for project schedules and budgets Support investor due diligence and financial closing for projects under construction Assist with state, federal, and regional permitting of wind and solar plants Assist with land acquisition activities for wind and solar plants Participate in the preparation of proposals that are submitted to utilities Direct reports: 0 Travel: less than 10% Position Requirements Minimum qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field 0 2 years of progressively responsible project management experience in energy or a related industry Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel) Proficiency in SAP and SQL is preferred Behavioral requirements: Strong organizational and time-management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Ability to work productively with limited supervision Strong interest in environmental issues and renewable energy Ability and willingness to travel and work overtime as needed Familiarity with wind and solar power project development preferred Exemplary standards of integrity, honor, safety, management, ethics, quality, and productivity Exhibit behaviors consistent with strong leadership and accountability Physical demands & working conditions: Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
