Solomon Associates Senior Consultant - Upstream in Houston, Texas

Solomon, the leading performance improvement company for the global energy industry, is seeking candidates for a Senior Analyst position for its Upstream vertical. Successful candidate will help support Upstream benchmarking and custom consulting studies by assessing and applying source information related to operating costs, production efficiency, and technical data.

Sr Consultant will support Operating Cost and Production Efficiency Studies and Advisory Services projects in the upstream sector. The Sr Consultant will be responsible to provide subject matter expertise related to oil and gas field operations and best practices, collaborating with other team members in both benchmarking studies and best practices implementation.

Qualifications:

Education

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree, Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

Preferred:

  • MSC or MBA

  • Additional training/certification in Microsoft Excel; preferably Microsoft Certified Application certification

Work Experience

Required:

  • 15+ years’ experience in operations, production and system optimization with Major or large Independent oil & gas operators. Overall industry experience 15 years + Strong communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Proficient in Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Skills in project budgeting, scheduling, and resourcing

Preferred:

  • 20 years relevant experienceField Operations and management role.

Technical Skills

Required:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • Experience with oil and gas operations data systems and data analysis

  • Familiarity with Solomon studies

Non-Technical Skills

  • Able to focus on results and deliver on commitments

  • Displays personal integrity, good organization skills, and ability to effectively manage resources

  • Good written and verbal communicate skills

Other

  • Travel required approximately 25% of the time

  • Preferred location is Houston
