Strategic Procurement Manager, Real Estate

Job Description:

In this role you will be responsible for managing Energy procurement globally.

This includes management of Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s risk strategy in deregulated markets alongside projects to identify and procure new sources of renewable energy. The role will work in partnership with HPE’s Global Real Estate team as a trusted advisor to ensure that HPE’s energy purchasing provides competitive advantage by meeting our climate commitments and returning financial value.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience in procurement of Real Estate Services (lease administration, acquisition and disposition of property, strategic real estate advice), Construction/Project Management or Facilities Management and be willing to lead as a senior member within a multi-disciplinary team supporting all real estate-related procurement needs across HPE.

Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in procurement.

  • 2+ years of experience with Energy and/or Real Estate Procurement required


  • Owns a complex spend category, setting strategic direction, driving compliance to strategy.

  • Acts as a senior member within a global team, working alongside colleagues to deliver results internationally, mentoring and coaching colleagues

  • Partners closely with stakeholders, ensuring that procurement is key to their success

  • Drives rigorous sourcing activity; identifying supply options, utilizing appropriate sourcing tools, and negotiating commercially sound deals
