Sodexo Energy and Resources is seeking a Food Service General Manager 2 to provide oversight at an Oil and Gas account in Katy, Texas (a suburb of Houston) . Reporting directly to a higher level General Manager, this manager will have oversight of four non-union, Sodexo-paid, hourly employees and will typically work a Monday through Friday schedule with a 6:00 am start time. Some flexibility will be needed to work occasional weekends/evenings/holidays to accommodate a small amount of catered events

Food service management at this unit will involve oversight of a large, beautiful, newer kitchen facility that serves breakfast and lunch along with some catering to 80 to 100 customers . Managed volume at this account is approximately 300K including 20K to 30K in catering sales. Additionally, we manage vending operations at this unit (but do not need to staff this) as well as an office coffee program that represents a managed volume of approximately $1M.

Primary Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Daily responsibility of all food service to include adherence to all food safety/HACCP guidelines, labeling/dating, temperature logs and staff training. Assuring both food and physical safety are a high priority at this unit.

  • The ability to work within existing financial costing models, operate within those financial parameters and produce weekly and monthly financial reports.

  • Oversight of monthly inventory and ordering along with planning, scheduling, staffing, training and motivating as needed to ensure stellar guest service on a consistent basis

Position Summary
