Role Summary:

In the role of Compressor Technician, you will:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble, clean, inspect and repair if necessary turbomachinery parts and components

  • Replace defective part with new part or repairs or reproduces part from various kinds of metal stock

  • Assemble and test machine components to verify correction of malfunction

  • Complete hydro-test on water jacketed cases as required Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in assembly, mechanical and / or machine shopEligibility Requirements:

  • Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

  • Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities

  • Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required

  • Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time Desired Characteristics:

  • Basic computer literacy

  • 2-year certificate from technical trade school

  • Experience in operating forklifts and Cranes preferred

  • Read and interpret blueprints

  • Take measurements using various types of micrometers and dial indicators

  • Have basic hand tools and understand basic operation of hand and power tools

  • Have wrenches 5/16 through 1 “, hammers, screw drivers, sockets –through ¼, 3/8, ½” drive, 1/2'” pneumatic impact wrench

  • Adequately apply industrial coatings to product (paint)
