Director Sales Strategy OEM - Round Rock, TX

Seeking a dynamic Director Sales Strategy (DSS) to support the OEM SR. VP. The DSS, also known as Chief of Staff, is an individual contributing role that will provide support and work closely with the Business Unit (BU) leadership team to plan and direct financial, administrative and operational activities. The DSS will play an important role in the overview and guidance of projects that are of critical importance to achieving the business objectives. Additional responsibilities include interacting on behalf of the Sr. VP and leadership, both internally and externally, with benefactors at all levels; directing the workflow of individuals within the organization; preparing and managing meeting content; and providing strategic guidance.

DSS will collaborate with members of the Leadership delivering important communications ensuring alignment on key priorities. Collaboration across function and geography is vital to success as you will handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously, mixing long-term projects with the urgency of immediate demands. Using independent leadership, you will coordinate and complete projects ranging from written products to PowerPoint presentations to Excel analysis. Coordinates and prepares for meetings, briefings and customer visits. Drives efficient planning for the Vice President of Sales. Participates and provides guidance in operational meetings. Establishes agendas for key executive meetings to ensure appropriate issues and initiatives get the right level of visibility within the organization. Works closely with the leadership team to develop collateral for general communications, off sites, all-hands and other mediums. Handles ad-hoc assignments and initiatives as designated by the leadership team.

This role is highly strategic and facilitative and one that requires a combination of analysis, project management and excellent executive-level communication skills. This role will provide the candidate with a deeper understanding of Dell Technologies overall business, build deeper and expanded executive relationships and, potential for other strategic roles.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Advanced team building skills and the ability to organize cross-functional teams; Intellectual horsepower; Proven efficiency and track record in previous roles; Advanced problem solving skills and ability to analyze complex issues; Advanced change management skills; Strong Written/ Visual Communications and Presentation Skills; Self-starter with skills to coordinate and guide operational meetings; Model of integrity with proven track record of confidentiality and ethical behavior. Sales experience and strong sales relationship competency is a plus.

Participates in guiding relationship sales strategy, and determine priorities affecting immediate operations as well as having company- wide impact.

· Manages key strategic initiatives and relationship sales improvement projects.

· Interacts with executives and/or major customers, generally involving controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading other senior level leaders.

Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
