General Description of Duties The Line Cook prepares food to the Assistant Kitchen Manager s specifications and sets up stations the menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the Assistant Kitchen Manager with their daily tasks. The Line Cook will play a key role in contribution to the Table s guest satisfaction and acquisition goals. Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Assistant Kitchen Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities ● Have a thorough, working understanding of all recipes, the restaurant standards, and the visual standards for each product ● Preparing food for service ● Ensure the highest level of guest care, in line with Magnolia s brand ● Work as a team player ● Carry out instructions of Assistant Kitchen Manager ● Fill order as needed ● Operate equipment safely and in line with best-use practices for each piece of equipment ● Work and interact with others in a manner consistent with the Magnolia culture ● Put away supply orders when assigned ● Check with Assistant Kitchen Manager anytime quality of products is in question ● Adhere to standards of grooming, cleanliness and sanitation ● Washing, rinsing, sanitizing and drying dishes ● Help to maintain organization and cleanliness ● Work and interact with others in a manner consistent with the Magnolia culture ● Contribute to a high-energy, fast-paced environment ● Perform other duties as assigned Education and/or Experience ● High School Diploma or equivalent GED ● Kitchen or bakery experience ● 3-5 years experience in a high-volume restaurant on the line Acknowledgements The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
